Boxer Puppy Swallows Comb

Tyson is no different than any other 5 month old puppy; he eats everything he can get his mouth on - including a rat-tail comb! Tyson had been taken to THREE other veterinary clinics, had SEVEN x-rays taken, and his owners had already spent $4,000 on this michievous pup. The last clinic wanted to do exploratory surgery at a cost of $4800.

Enter Animal Health Care Specialists. More x-rays were taken and the puzzle began. The doctor could see something causing a bump on the pup's back. Tyson was taken to surgery to remove the unknown object. That's when things got more complicated! This pointed piece of plastic was actually connected to something else! The plastic tip was cut off, Tyson was turned over, and exploratory surgery begun to see what the other half of the object was. To make a long story short, the other half of a rat-tail comb was found in Tyson's stomach!
